Apologies for whistle sound and poor quality audio. We will work to correct that in the next audio. Download audio Project Philosophy To help farm workers and others interested to learn English, based on the following principles:
This Website was built to support this Spanish language project. The ideal, at first, is not to have to read at all, but just listen and repeat. However, we realize that when learning another language one might have to look occasionally at a word here or there in order to make out the letters being used by the speaker. To the degree that you focus on listening and trying to pronounce the word as the native speaker, the better your accent will be. On the down side, people might think you know more than you do :-). While we hope that with advanced technology the time may come where this dictionary page might provide instantaneous audio of each word looked up, right now it may take quite a long time to download a single sound.
Basic Vocabulary In Use Audio Cd Download
One of the principal products of this project will be to tape English words and expressions followed by their Spanish equivalent, repeated twice. Rather than providing a list of vocabulary along with the tapes, users will be directed to this Website where they can download the latest version of the written dictionary. It is simply impossible to include all of the vocabulary in recordings, and the written dictionary will contain many more words than the recordings.
Language Transfer has a unique method compared to other audio courses. Instead of taking you through greetings and basic vocabulary first, it focuses on teaching you the building blocks of grammar in a foreign language.
Although they were originally designed for training diplomats in a focused, immersive environment, the courses are now in the public domain. This means that the audio lessons and accompanying texts are available free for anyone to download.
A list of common Quileute words and phrases, some of which appear on the recordings linked below (Learn the Words, Sets 1-4), along with their pronunciations and translations, can be downloaded to accompany the audio lessons.
These lessons feature some natural speech, but the lessons focus on basic topics. These lessons focus less on grammar and more on vocabulary. At times, the speakers talk at a natural speed, but sometimes they speak slower than normal. Go to level 3
This component consists of Class Audio CD, Workbook Audio CD and Test Book Audio CD. The class CD contains the narration of the reading passages as well all audio required for the listening tasks found in the student's book. The workbook CD contains the recordings required for the listening tasks in the workbook. The test book audio CD includes the audio required for the Mid-Year Listening Test and the End-of-Year Listening Test. The recordings found on all audio CDs can be accessed on the IWB and downloaded from the website. Professional actors are used in all recordings to ensure clarity and accurate intonation and pronunciation.
Audio is even easier. Shocking as it may seem, you can still buy CDs. Rip them to a hard drive, and you have digital copies for as long as your hard drive lasts (and presumably, the CD will last even longer). Alternatively, you can buy and download DRM-free music and convert it to whatever file format you like or trust. iTunes and Amazon Music files are DRM-free, as are the downloads from many smaller music sites, many of which offer even higher-quality audio files. For older music downloads that have DRM, you can typically convert them to a DRM-free format such as FLAC or WAV.
Download your free online content here. Simply click on the download button for the course you have purchased and download the additional content for free. For all-audio courses, you can download the written audio script or activity pdfs here.
